Pepino and Friends is a series of books designed to teach children about animals' needs. Pepino was a little dog nobody wanted. This book captures children's attention in schools with a puppet show. We are partners with the Humane Global Network in Nigeria, and we've been working together since June 2020. Chiedozie Chiemeka is the director. He is a humane educator, author, and pastor who also manages a nonprofit in his country. He has written several books. Click the button to connect to our Facebook page.

The Pepino Project is a puppet show designed for the classroom to teach children ages 4-8 how animals wait in shelters for a loving home. It teaches the importance of spaying and neutering your pets. The Pepino Project

You will need a Pepino book, a Pepino puppet, a bell, a cage, a fireplace, a biscuit, a basket, a blanket, two bowls for food and water, some silk flowers taped to a fence, a pet store, and a spay and neuter sign. Links to these props can be found here through Amazon. The children can bring extra stuffed dogs and cats from home for the pet store. Have the children set up the puppet show on a long table. Then they can act out the story while someone reads the book. It will have more meaning for them and it’s fun! After reading the Pepino story, teachers can explain to the children that it took Pepino 9 months to get his forever home, which is a whole school year.They can explain the importance of chipping and tagging their pets, and ask the children what supplies are needed to adopt a new pet.Talk about spaying and neutering to control the pet population.

In 2009, I was involved in a head-on collision. The only thing I remember following the accident while being airlifted to Denver was talking to the EMT, Robert. I was telling him about projects I wanted to do for kids involving plants and animals because they are so healing. He told me it was a good idea and wanted to help. He told me about his wife and that he had 4 dogs. He asked me if I realized that I had been in a bad accident. I said, No....then I drifted off to sleep.

Thank goodness for all the wonderful therapy I received, along with the team of doctors. It took me 6 years to walk again. When I realized what had happened to me, I cried and cried. I couldn't let myself get depressed. I stayed as positive as I could. I would focus on healing one thing at a time.One day, I woke up from a nap to find a lady with a huge harp playing to me. I seriously thought I had gone to heaven.

Thanks to a farmer back in the day, children are enjoying the fruits of his labor. The Earth is a bountiful place when we manage it correctly. No one should go hungry in today's world.

We plant one-year-old seedlings of the Malay apple tree to speed harvest. Within a few years, the children will be able to enjoy some apples from their own tree! The apples are abundant and will be harvested twice a year.
